Fabrication Films


Based in Los Angeles, Fabrication Films is dedicated to the production and worldwide distribution of cutting edge, commercial, independent feature films.

Established in 2003, Fabrication Films has a library of 50 plus titles and is involved in both domestic and international distribution. As an international sales company Fabrication Films attends all of the major markets and festivals including the American Film Market, MIPCOM, MIPTV, Sundance Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, Cannes Film Market/Festival and the Toronto Film Festival.

In 2006, Fabrication theatrically released CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN starring Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart; LAST DISPATCH, which had the second highest per screen average in the country for its opening weekend; the Cuban music documentary, LA TROPICAL; the 2005 Slamdance favorite ZOMBIE HONEYMOON, HER NAME IS CARLA starring Julian Sands; THE CALIFORNIANS starring Noah Wyle; and ONCE UPON A WEDDING, starring Kuno Becker.

Other titles Fabrication has distributed internationally include: 10th AND WOLF directed by Bobby Moresco (Academy Award winning writer of CRASH) starring James Marsden and Giovanni Ribisi; Sundance 2006 favorite, WRISTCUTTERS: A LOVE STORY, which will be theatrically released by After Dark Films on October 19, 2007; THE GAME OF THEIR LIVES starring Gerard Butler; THE DARK HOURS, winner of the 2005 Dead by Dawn Festival in Edinburgh; THE ROOST, the 2005 SXSW Festival favorite and THE SECOND FRONT starring Ron Perlman.


Executives


Kjehl Rasmussen - CEO


Kjehl oversees the film division of Fabrication Films. Kjehl’s credits as a producer and executive producer include, ANIMAL BEHAVIOR, THE CORNDOG MAN, BEHIND THE RED DOOR and Fabrication’s CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN. Kjehl is also an experienced copyright/intellectual property attorney specializing in film, television and music.


Chris Perry - Executive Vice President


Chris handles all sales and operations for the company, spearheading the international sales, contracts, delivery, post-production and collection efforts, as well as having an active hand in all worldwide distribution activities for Fabrication Films. Chris started his career at New World International, before working for Trimark Pictures, Cannon Pictures, Prism Entertainment and The Kushner-Locke Company where he eventually served as President, International Sales. From 2000 to 2005, Perry served as Co-President of Conquistador Entertainment.


Jodie Skalla - Vice President, Acquisitions


Jodie is responsible for acquiring a diverse line of quality product for Fabrication Films ranging from specialized art-house films to genre driven films. Previously, Jodie was an acquisition executive for the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group at Sony Pictures where she did all rights acquisitions which included domestic acquisitions for Screen Gems as well as international acquisitions for the studio.
